Energy for the Soul…
Hi, my name is James Pisaturo and I am extremely excited to begin our artistic adventures.
I am a professionally certified, New York State k-12 Visual Art Teacher. I have been teaching art for the past 21 years within several different arenas (public school, private school, and non-for-profit).
I received my undergraduate degree from Suny Brockport in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children with minor in Visual Arts. My k-12 Art certification was achieved at Buffalo State College, where I was lucky enough to be the work study for the sculpture department. I received my Masters in Curriculum Writing/Technology in the Classroom from SUNY Albany. Currently, I am a fulltime art teacher in a public-school setting in the Rochester, New York area.
My exploration in teaching has directed me all across New York State allowing me to work with a full range of ages and abilities. Previous students’ work has been displayed at the Saratoga Museum of Dance, Big Orbit Gallery, Essex Art Center, First Friday in Ballston Spa, Saratoga County Fair, Rush Henrietta Public Library and several restaurants.
I love teaching and creating art; it truly is the energy that fuels my soul….
